First Responder Training

First Responder Training

This training is designed to strengthen the knowledge of EMS responders in the following: recognition, causes, appropriate response and management of generalized, partial, and status epilepticus seizures and enhance the ability of EMS responders to effectively respond to individuals experiencing a seizure.

Law Enforcement Training

Law Enforcement Training

EFWO provides on-site Law Enforcment professionals comprehensive training. The training includes education on what Epilepsy is, how it affects people in different ways and most importantly how to respond to someone who is experiencing a seizure at the time of arrival.

Senior Adults/Caregiver Training

Senior Adults/Caregiver Training

This training provides seizure recognition and first aid for senior adults and caregivers. In senior adults, seizures can mimic dementia, urinary tract infections, depression, and other conditions.

School Nurse/Personal Training

School Nurse/Personal Training

The purpose of this training is to provide teachers and other school personnel with information they will need to recognize seizures and their impact on students, and how to respond with appropriate first aid. The foundation goes to the individual school districts in the 11-county service area to give this training on-site.
